PRESS RELEASE
Continuation of the Air Legend airshow by Editions Larivière.
See you on 6 and 7 September 2025 at Melun-Villaroche!
Since its creation in 2018, the Meeting Aérien Air Legend, organised at the Melun-Villaroche aerodrome, has established itself as one of the most prestigious aeronautical events in Europe. Thanks to the passion and vision of its founder, Christian Amara, this event brings together legendary aircraft, exceptional pilots and thousands of aviation enthusiasts every year.
Following Christian Amara’s death last February, Éditions Larivière and Amara Airshow joined forces to take over Air Legend, with the aim of preserving and perpetuating this emblematic event. The 2025 edition will therefore be organised by Editions Larivière.
A major player in the specialist press, Editions Larivière publishes the magazines Le Fana de l’Aviation and Planète Aéro, two key references in the aeronautical world. Through its events branch, Larivière Organisation, the group also organises major events such as the Bol d’Or, the Paris Supercross and Game Fair.
This takeover is in line with Éditions Larivière’s strategy of developing events around the passionate themes of its publications. Larivière Organisation intends to perpetuate the spirit of the meeting, while adding its expertise and passion for aviation. The aim is clear: to raise the profile of this unique event even higher, both in France and internationally.
This is a long-term project: an agreement signed with the SYMPAV, which manages the Melun-Villaroche airfield, guarantees that Editions Larivière will continue to organise the airshow until 2030. As part of this ongoing commitment, Editions Larivière will be drawing on the expertise and experience of Iza Bazin, who will remain involved in the organisation as the event’s Aeronautical Director.
The next Air Legend Airshow will be held on 6 and 7 September 2025 at the Melun-Villaroche airfield.
Enthusiasts can now book their tickets for an unforgettable weekend at the heart of aviation history.

The 2025 programme will pay tribute to Christian Amara, through the presentation of aircraft dear to the event’s founder, including his iconic P-51 Mustang brought in for the occasion from the Red Bull collection in Austria, as well as the Me 262 presented by AIRBUS heritage.
This weekend will be an opportunity to celebrate the exceptional career of an entrepreneur with a passion for vintage aviation.
